Terms and Conditions of Riverside Stud
By placing an order you (the “Customer”), are agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of Riverside Stud (“RS”).
All prices and terms, and the availability of stallions are subject to change. The Customer must confirm these with RS immediately prior to ordering and payment.

Payment is required in full at the time of nomination and no semen will be dispatched prior to full and cleared payment, including health certificates and delivery charges. RS does not charge for debit or credit card, electronic transfer or bank transfer payments. Payments made by cheque must be cleared before any semen can be dispatched. For natural cover the fee is before the mare arrives at the stud.

Prior to arrival at stud your horse must test negative for CEM & EVA and a health declaration must be signed by your vet.
Your horse must arrive with their passport. For horses born after 1 July 2009, the passport must be linked to the horse’s microchip identification; RS offers a microchipping service for an additional fee if the horse is not microchipped. RS reserves the right to sign section IX Part II of the passport (or section II Part II for passports issued from 1 Jan 2016) if it is unsigned when a horse arrives on stud (unless the Customer specifies in writing that they wish for their horse to remain in the food chain) and if drugs are administered which require this section to be signed. RS reserves the right to refuse entry to any horse in the event that any of the above conditions are not complied with or where the Stud deems that the horse is an unacceptable health and safety risk or for any other reason.
We endeavour to offer the best of care and attention to all horses at the Stud, however we are unable to take responsibility for accident, injury or illness. Owners must adequately insure their horses.
Prior to horses departing the stud, all charges must be paid in full.
Veterinary work at RS will be carried out by Summerleaze Equine Vets.
Photos and videos of horses may be used for promotion and our social media unless agreed otherwise.
All equipment left with your horse should be noted on your booking form and name tagged. We are unable to take responsibility for loss or damage of equipment so please do not leave irreplaceable items.
Mares must be barefoot unless front shoes are entirely necessary. Mares with back shoes will not be turned out with others under any circumstances. Limited individual turnout may be arranged by prior notice and will be charged for accordingly.
Our grass keep fees apply to group turnout. Farrier work will be carried out by our farrier when deemed necessary by the Stud. If we are unable to contact an owner in the unfortunate event of an emergency, Summerleaze vets will take the action they deem necessary in the best interest of the horse.

For the avoidance of doubt, the Customer shall not be entitled to a refund if the mare loses a foal either before, during or after foaling. However a second cover for that customer will be free of charge within a 3 year time of the original cover.

RS reserve the right to refuse any horse without reason.

RS is in no way endorsing or recommending any third party referred to on the website or contained in the information provided by RS, and RS is not responsible or liable for any third party's actions.
